Made by Gallé, Nancy, France
Cameo art glass

Emile Gallé, a premier French glassmaker, established his glass factory in 1867 and worked until his death in 1904. Gallé was an advocate of the Art Nouveau style popular during this period and produced many outstanding pieces. Cameo glass objects are made from several layers of different colored glass. The glass is then carved to produce designs in one or more colors.
