2. seniors (adj.)--senior citizens or old people.

3. penthouse (n.)--the top floor apartment of a tall apartment building. Penthouse apartments have the best views and the most sunlight so they are often more expensive than apartments on lower floors.

4. belongings (n.)--things a person owns.

1. midwife (n.)--a person who helps a mother with the birth of her baby.

2. to make a down payment on a house--to pay a beginning amount of cash for a house. Because houses are very expensive most people borrow money from the bank to buy their home then pay the bank back on a monthly basis.

3. permanent (adj.)--lasting forever.
