Made by Electrolux Corporation, Bristol, GA
The well known Electrolux Corporation was founded in 1924, when a European immigrant brought a Swedish-made vacuum cleaner to the United States in search of an importer. The cleaner's unusual tank was considered revolutionary and the new company thrived, even during the depression. This 1970 model features a dial for special cleaning needs, an "on-off" toe switch, and a fine brush attachment for cleaning curtains, window sills, and woodwork. It was especially good at cleaning the shag carpeting that was fashionable during the seventies.
