Nordstrom's on their porch

Gustav Nordstrom, born in Sweden, is the owner of a millinery store in Rockford. His two daughters help him with the business. Since they are in the fashion business, the Nordstroms keep a stylish home and follow the latest trends. It is 1900 and Gustav has come to Chicago to buy dry goods for his shop from Marshall Field's wholesale warehouse. His daughter Josephine has accompanied him on the trip and is shopping at Field's department store. She would like to buy something new and artistic for the house.

A millinery store sold women's hats and other clothing accessories.
