Rococo Revival style
Porcelain

The Rococo Revival style, popular from about 1850 to 1900, was inspired by the furnishings of the French king, Louis XV. It was characterized by many curves and naturalistic designs, such as the birds, leaves, and flowers seen on these vases. Governor Ninian Edwards once owned this pair of vases.
