And then there is Sieur Becquet. He needs a worker. I would have to sign a contract for a year, they say. But he is a master locksmith and I could learn about the trade! True, for a whole year I would have to do anything he asks! There will be no pay 'til the end, and that in provisions or notes of stock. Still, it's only for a year, and at the end I would know something about locksmithing! And besides, I could live with Sieur Becquet and his family in a real house for a whole year. Aaaaah! What should I do! |
