After that New Year's Eve in 1743, life was never quite the same for Antoine Beinvenu. Antoine was well on his way to becoming a man, and soon he did have his own gun and a man's responsibilities.

As the years passed, he did join "the lovesick sillies" at the Twelveth-night Ball, and in 1753, at the age of 22, he married Louise Dunis.
