Activity 2

You are a curator. A woman who lives on a farm by the Mississippi River comes to you with these three glass fragments. She wants to donate them to the museum because she thinks they are very old, probably dating to the time the French were in Illinois.

After careful scrutiny of the three glass fragments, you return one of them to the woman. Which fragment did you return and why? You thank the woman profusely for the other two fragments and rush off to the archeology lab. Which ones did you take to the lab, and what do you think they are fragments of?
